What's in a name?

My wonderful friends Kristina and Roger helped us yesterday by having Desi's name translated. Liang is part of the orphanage name that is given to all children. Someone told me that Ruo means "as". A little strange, I know. So yesterday I emailed Roger her printed name as he works with someone from China. His friend Sam, said that Liang means "sourgham" and the rest of her name means "pretty as a flower". Since Ruo means "as" that leaves Hua to be the pretty flower part of her name, and so we are pretty sure her new American name will be Desi Michal Hua (pronounced Wha) Malone.
