Officially OURS!

Though this morning it looked as though the blog was facing immenent defeat because of "suspicious activity" I was able to muster all my wits and prayer at 8am this morning and recover the deactivated Waiting for Desi blog. This is a huge blessing because we have BEAUTIFUL pictures of Desi to post. First though, the newest update from my mom, who after the last post, we now call Superwoman.

MONDAY

We had our appointment at the Civil Affairs office today. Geez, I am sure every government agency in China now has my thumb print:-) Everything went well and we should have our official documents in hand around 6:30 tonight. Desi is currently snoozing away. I started her on PediaCare and it seems to be working a lot better than the stuff they were giving her.

At the appointment today I got to see a little more of her personality. The Orphanage Director is such an awesome lady. She had Desi laughing and running all over the place. We were there probably an hour and a half completing this part of the process. I met a man from Dallas, TX that is here by himself too adopting a two year old little girl with a heart defect. Oh my is she a cutie:-) While we waited we both had an agency bashing as they're not happy with their agency either. I guess we're not the only ones out there that did not make a good choice:-( We exchanged phone numbers and plan on trying to have some meals together so we're not completely alone all the time.

The shoes we brought DO NOT fit. Her little foot has grown a lot more than I had anticipated so we had to go shoe shopping after the appointment. I can't wait to get to Guangzhou to buy squeaky shoes because the ones I was FORCED to buy today are U G L Y!!!!! I really didn't want to buy them but our choices were limited.

Anyway, we have a free afternoon so I did some laundry and cleaned up the mess we've been making. Just imagine blue moon dough and dried Ramen noodles in the carpet!!!! Yes, it took a while to get it up:-)

Now for the pictures of Desi!

OFFICIALLY OURS
She loves the orphanage director a lot, when she had to leave she told my mom she knew that she would be a good mom to Desi.
With the Orphanage Director, we love the squinty face!
